Highland Community Center, Art Room, 14224 Bel-Red Road, Bellevue, WA 98007
How do you recognize your strengths and challenges? What is person-centered planning? What is discovery?
Our theme for January’s Creating Connection series is « Discovering Potential. » In this workshop, we will review how self-advocates can drive their own exploration and go over some of the methods in use.
Who should come? Anyone interested in discovering their potential, or supporting someone on their journey.
This event is part of our Creating Connections series, produced by the outreach team at The Arc of King County to support the advocacy of the King County Parent and Family Coalition, Parent to Parent, and other groups facilitated by The Arc that support and connect family members and activists with disabilities. Anyone interested in understanding and navigating the systems that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is welcome.
NEXT UP: We will continue our « Discovering Potential » theme with SKILLS: How to Tell Your Story, on Saturday, January 20, 2018; 10 am – 12 pm; at Ryther, 2400 NE 95th St, Seattle, WA 98115.
